FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI Party a registered political party?

Not yet. The AI Party is a new political party in the making. We are building our membership and developing our program first.

What does the AI Party want?

A fair share of AI’s prosperity for everyone: a people’s fund and a basic income paid for by taxing AI and capital instead of labour, a shorter work week with pay kept, and public AI backed by global agreements.

Who does the work when AI takes over routine tasks?

AI can take over much repetitive work, such as data entry, form processing and routine reporting. The work that remains, including care, teaching and craftsmanship, is shared more fairly through a shorter work week with pay kept.

How would this be paid for?

By shifting taxes from labour to AI profits, large-scale compute, the commercial use of data and very large fortunes, and through a people’s fund that owns stakes in AI. Internationally, we build on the OECD’s 15% global minimum tax.

What do you mean by AI communism?

Shared ownership of what the machines produce, achieved through democratic means: binding agreements between democratic countries, a shared fund and public AI. Not a world state.

Why start in the Netherlands?

The Netherlands is where the party is being founded. Because AI companies operate worldwide, our plan is international from the start.

How do I read the Big Red Book?

PDF for €4.20 or paperback for $42. 420 pages setting out the full argument behind our program.
